About the event
We at Defunkt Magazine are hosting a paid cover art competition! The winning piece will be featured on the cover of our next printed anthology, hosted for an artist chat at the anthology launch party being held this July, and will receive a $50 cash prize paid via PayPal.
The Defunkt Art team will judge the first round; finalists will then be judged by renowned artist and arts educator Katherine Rhodes Fields.

- Please utilize only JPEG with a minimum resolution of 300 PSI via attachment.
- 1 piece maximum per entry.
- By submitting, you confirm the work therein is of your original creation and that the work has never been published elsewhere.
Please note that Defunkt Magazine requires First Serial Rights on all submissions /all mediums and that all published works will be considered for inclusion in our annually printed anthology. Please note that the COVER of the anthology will be utilized in the promotion of the volume online and via social media by submitting you agree to this.
