Johanna Porter was born and raised in Miami, FL. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of North Florida. As a self-taught digital artist, her first Mac Classic computer, purchased in 1984, was her first “laptop”. She would carry it into ad agencies and work on-site. Her career includes over three decades of working in the realm of graphic design and art direction. In 2019 she moved her studio- PICTURESWITHIN- from South Florida to the Pacific Northwest and returned to her roots as a visual artist, creating work more relevant to her personal growth.
